Imam Rashied Omar Decries Manchester Bombing during Khutbah on 26 May 2017
I would like to strongly condemn the bombing in Manchester, United Kingdom, that has left 22 persons dead and another five-dozen wounded. It is particularly shocking that this so-called suicide killing was directed against young people, and even innocent children.
I decry this cruel act that irreparably touched the lives of so many.
Whatever the reasons for these actions, there is no justification for such cruel and wanton violence.
I commend the initiative of the British Muslim Heritage Centre and other Muslim civil society organizations who have already raised thousands of pounds to support the families of the victims.
We pray for and call for solidarity with the victims of this cruel bombing and their loved ones.
